Inline text edit w/o having to copy/paste to a text input tool

I need an in-line text output, edit, input tool/macro that that allows me to manually edit records in-line without having to copy/paste to the text input tool.

Most of my source documents are messy PDFs.  Some times its just quicker to take the problem records aside and manually fix them. 

This might be a feature request, but I am hoping somebody might have found a workaround using existing capabilities.

I am trying to avoid the process below.

Hi @hellyars 

This is definitely a feature request.  The only possible source of user input to a workflow are the Interface tools, and these are populated before the workflow runs.
