In-Db Browse Tool Summary Profile bug

The In-Db Browse tool at first appears to only be a means of viewing a limited number of rows from the tool you connect it to, without showing any further summary information. The standard Browse tool also shows you a profile where further useful information can be gathered around distributions, quality, quantity and more of particular fields. 

As of 2020.3 (2019.4 is the same) there is actually currently a way to make the In-Db Browse tool show a profile that is not initially apparent. Once you’ve added your in-db browse tool and selected it, you should see the results pane. In the results pan, select a header and either sort or filter it. Then by magic, you should see a summary profile appear in the configuration pane. However, it seems to be about 50/50 whether this works and sometimes just has an error, but pretty useful when it does work.

This seems to me like it must be a bug that A) the profile doesn't show until you filter or sort the results and B) that half the time there is an error when trying to filter or sort the results, and stopping the profile being seen at all.
