If Statement is null

HI All, 

Need some help 

I have two columns called "LifeCycle Status" & "PersonId"

Where PersonID is populated (i.e. not Null) i would like add a new lifecycle status called "Operations"

I am thinking the formula to do this would be something along the lines of 

IF IsNull([person_id]) THEN " " ELSE ";Operations"+[Lifecycle Status]" ENDIF

Current Data 

Lifecycle Status	Person ID
Sales	1111
Sales;Marketing	2222
Sales
Sales
Sales;Marketing
	3333

Expected Outcome : 

Lifecycle Status	Person ID	LifeCycle Overal
Sales	1111	Sales;Operations
Sales;Marketing	2222	Sales;Marketing;Operations
Sales		Sales
Sales		Sales
Sales;Marketing		Sales;Marketing
	3333	Operations
