I have an excel file with multiple sheets. I need to output one sheet based on the input given by the user for a part of the sheet name. Please let me know if this is possible in Alteryx.

Try the attached, you'll surely need to adjust it to your individual case. If the user inputs 1, he gets Sheet1 as an output, if he inputs 2 in the text box, he'll get Sheet2 in the output.
