How to use 'Remove Prefix' and 'Remove Suffix' under tool 'Select'?

In my case I need to remove prefix of lots of columns so it is not convenient for me to use formular tool to replace prefix.  I noticed that 'Select' tool has options for 'Remove Prefix' and 'Remove Suffix' but normally they can not be selected. Does anyone know how to activate them?

It is very interesting feature, which I did not use it yet.

Based on my test, you have to select two or more columns that are having Prefix or Surfix then menu will be activated.
