How to remove unwanted characters from a column

I want to selectively remove certain characters from a column. I looked at using the Data Cleansing tool option to remove punctuation but I don't want to remove all punctuation from the column, just one specific character. I want to remove * from the column but the column also contains . that I do not want to remove. Any help? Thanks!

You can use ReplaceChar to replace any individual character with the character of your choice. in this case, it sounds like:

ReplaceChar([Column], "*" , "")
