How to combine or consolidate 3 or more Workflows in a single one

I have 3 or more workflows that use the same source different formulas and calculations but the same output excel file with the same columns.

How can I combine or consolidate those workflow files into a single one?

Does any help please?

As you notice, I'm a new user of this wonderful and powerful tool.

Regards,

Gilberto

You can combine them into 1 by copy and pasting them onto a single canvas. From there, you can remove the redundant input tools and connect all of your streams from the one.

Your streams of different calculations can then be consolidated with a union tool at the very end prior to the output.

Are you able to upload a couple of your workflows? I can help mock a workflow.

Hi @echuong1

Thank you for your answer and help.

Please find attached some examples of workflows that I have to consolidate into a single one.

Here is a simple example.

@glombard
Your attachments are showing under Virus Scanning, so can not get a real look.

But maybe the Block Until Done is one option.

Can you re-upload your workflows?

They are still showing as virus scan in progress.

You can use the example I posted earlier as reference. Essentially just copy and paste all of the workflows onto one canvas. From there, you can connect the workflows to the same "master" input tool. The outputs would be consolidated with a union at the end.

I think it mightbe a bit complicated that just union the 3 outputs.

It depends that kind of calculation the 3 workflow performs.

Hey @glombard !

Well, for me looks like @echuong1 said, so you can follow the steps:

  1. Open all workflows;
  2. Select all tools of second app (ctrl+a), copy and paste in the first app;
  3. Do the step 2 again but with the third app;
  4. Remove input of the second and third apps part and link those parts with the first app input

Now for the output, depends what you need, if the 3 parts need to output to the same file, you will need to save in different sheets or if need to put all in the same sheet, you will need to put a Union tool linked from all parts and that union will output to only one output tool instead of 3.

Hope that help you!

So it actually looks like you'd want to keep all of the outputs separate.

I combined the workflows into one for you so everything is on the same canvas. It looks like a lot of the steps at the beginning are the same, so I consolidated those as well.

Hope this helps!
