How to access an Alteryx App through Alteryx Designer?

Question

My colleague is out for a few months and we are trying to run a flow he created, however, we cannot access the underlying workflow. We tried opening the file directly via File > Open Workflow, dragged the file onto the canvas, and also opening through designer but no luck.

I attached a screenshot of what we see when we try to open it.

Does anyone know what is best way to see the workflow that went into the app?

rename the .yxzp to .zip. Then unzip it to a folder somewhere you can find it. Go find the .yxwz file that is in the folder you just unzipped. instead of double clicking it, right click and choose edit. This should open it as a workflow in designer.

Because it's a app (yxwz) you won't be able to click run to run it without popping up the interface.

That should have happened when you imported the package. I don't know why its not working, this is a workaround that should get you there.

@jrlindem Unfortunately, no that suggestion did not work either. We've tried other options but we are unable to view the actual workflow.
