Hiding Cities' Name on Spatial Base Map

Hi,

I am wondering if there is a way for Alteryx spatial base map to not show the default city/ street labels (essentially a blanked map with borders)

Thanks,

This is possible with maps created by the Report Map tool. If you go to Layers > Base Layers - Points > Cities, you can override the label settings and configure them to be disabled.

If you want to disable them in the Browse map, you could edit the installed base map files and null all the city names there. I wouldn't recommend doing this until you save a backup of the original. The standard file path to the city point file used by the 2018 Q4 dataset is

C:\Program Files (x86)\Alteryx\DataProducts\AlteryxMap\TomTom_US_2018_Q4\Data\us_cp.yxdb.

Another option using the Report Map tool could be using the map files found at the path above and building your own map layers with all the customization you desire.
