Get a mileage count of all roads

This seems like a simple task but I cant figure it out. I have a shapefile with roads. How can I add up all the road mileage for an entire area? I just want to know how many miles total I have in that shapefile.

Never mind I figured it out. haha Use the spatial info tool and check "Length (Miles)" for the spatial object.
