Hi,
I'm trying to save a fuzzy match style and when saving, it ask to be administrator or Power user which I am. I'm using the admin version, running as admin, and still can't save it
Can you help ?
Solved! Go to Solution.
@Williug Can you reopen Alteryx Designer as an Admin? Right click on designer and run as admin.
I'm already starting it as admin as you said, and it still doesn't work

Editing / saving a new fuzzy match setting attempts to save it to a folder within Alteryx Program Files. Could be a case where something on your end is preventing you from writing to this folder, as shown in this post:
Also make sure that the FuzzyMatchStyles.xml file does not have the Read-only file attribute set.
I am using admin version, running as admin and have changed the fuzzy match styles file attributes (was read only earlier and is unchecked now), still the same error. The other thread on this topic referred above has no solution either.
Any more inputs?
@nimeshkhatri Are you able to open the XML file in a text editor like Notepad? If so, there must be something else going on. In that case, please contact Alteryx Support for assistance, http://alteryx.com/support
Hi!
I have the same issue. I've tried to run Alteryx as an administrator and change to writing rights of the Fuzzy Match XML file. Even though I can edit the XML file in notepad, it doesn't have an effect when restarting Alteryx.
What more to try?
@rebeccaoskarsson If you have Edit rights to the Fuzzy Match Styles XML file and the file does not have the Read-only attribute set, then I'm not sure what could be going on. I think it might be prudent to contact Alteryx Support for assistance, http://alteryx.com/support.
