Full stop as Delimiter not recognised by DynamicInput tool

Hello,

I have a rather simple problem where I have a system parameter file.

Where the delimiter is '.' (i.e. Fullstop).

However this is not recognised by the Dynamic Input tool, when '.' is specified as delimiter.

On clicking the REFRESH button, and hoping to preview the separated columns, only the first line is displayed. i.e. sysparm

Can anyone please advise. I have attached the sysparm txt file below.

Your first row only has one field name.

Trying to import the entire file, with row 2 having more fields, results in an error (record 2 has too many fields).

Try the import starting on line 2, and leave the box un-checked for First Row Contains Field Names.

Then use a Select or some other tool, like Dynamic Rename, to supply the field names.

You could use the text to column tool to parse out your columns.

Yes that makes sense, that the first row has 1 field.

and importing from row 2, solves this.
