I'm trying to create a new column that produces state initials for the corresponding state name. However I'm getting this error message. Can someone help me out please?

@Kwaku_Od , that error maybe some extra parenthesis.

That logic is quite complex to create and maintain so I'd recommend you to do it with a find & replace. That way will be way easier to do it and keep up-to-date.

But with the find and replace it looks like there is only one output column. I want to maintain the state column and create a new column with the abbreviation.

Hi @Kwaku_Od,

I have changed the configuration of @Garabujo7. Now you will see that the initial data will be kept and we will append new columns.

It didn't work unfortunately. The states title represents two different strings

hi @Kwaku_Od

Please post a sample of what you would like your output to be, including all columns.

Thanks
