Format number with currency & decimal to be part of a string

I am trying to figure out how to format a number (double) into currency and then add as part of a string.  Would this be a formula, regex, or is there an easy way to quickly convert a number to currency?

ProgramYearCostOutput
Aaaa2020500.5Aaaa (2020) $500.50
Bbbb2020600.6Bbbb (2020) $600.60
Aaaa20197000Aaaa (2019) $7,000.00
Aaaa201980Aaaa (2019) $80.00
Bbbb20199090.99Bbbb (2019) $9,090.99

Just looked through the other solutions and it looks like no one accounted for commas. That makes it a little trickier. I put the formatting in a macro to make this a little cleaner:
