Finding All Years in a Range

Hi,

I have a start year variable (i.e. 2003) and and end year variable (i.e. 2006).

I am trying to create variables that say for example above, person A was a participant in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 (can be in row transactional or in new columns).

Anybody familiar with a formula to help me with this?

Thanks,

Greg

Greg - are you saying that the dates you are looking for may appear in rows or columns?  Do you have some sample data to share?

Thanks John.

What I am saying is I have a data set that has uniqueIDs per row.  One column is Begin Year and one column is End Year.  I'm looking to create additional data pieces to identify all year that person was a participant.

The data is confidential.

Example would be:

ID                 Begin Year           End Year

12                 2003                     2008

What I need to do, is create additional data points, to show that ID 12 was a participant in 2003, 2004 ,2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.

Thanks.

Hi

Try the generate rows tool

Here's a screenshot of how to do this, creating a new field called Current Year:
