Filter on Current Month and all previous months

In my data set I have records with dates in the future and in the past.  I am struggling to figure out how I can filter to only show records with a date in the current month and all previous months. 

Any records that are after the current month the workflow runs need to be excluded.

Please provide relevant data to this use case, and kindly provide your criteria in as much detail as possible. If you have a workflow built halfway, kindly export that over as well.

I can't share any data but hopefully this example helps.  Lets say the workflow runs today, I only want to show the records I have highlighted in green, the reds will not be included.  The same would happen if I ran the workflow in December, the 2 records that have a December date would be included now
