File Open and File Save Not Working Within Alteryx

Has anyone seen this issue. Yesterday I lost the ability to open a workflow by using the browse option (File --> Open Workflow --> Browse) or Save new workflows (File --> Save), but can open recent workflows (File --> Open Recent) and can Save existing workflows.
Basically Alteryx won't open the in application Windows Explorer dialog box to browse the folder structure. Windows is associating Alteryx correctly and I can open an old workflow using File Explorer and double-click to open. This happened suddenly while using Alteryx and didn't do anything with a system setting.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled Alteryx with no change. I've also upgraded to the newest version 2022.1.1.25127 from 2021.3.2.54175 and still seeing the same issue. Other applications don't seem impacted and I also run Alteryx on a remote machine that is operating with no issues. I did upgrade to Windows 11 on Monday, but had no issues for 2 days post upgrade.

After uninstall, reinstall and reboots with no change this morning I changed a new workflow to an Iterative Macro and tried to save and things started to work again. No idea if that was the fix or Alteryx started working as mysteriously as it stopped working.

Same issue here. I have tried many, many things, including upgrading to Windows 11, uninstall/reinstall, and updating to the latest release of Alteryx. Very frustrating as I basically can not use save as...

I just experienced this same issue last week. Anyone else experiencing this issue and have a possible solution other than converting a workflow to an Iterative Macro. I have never done macro in Alteryx so not sure how to implement that suggested fix.

What I do is always start with an existing workflow that I have copied and renamed, because Save works, just not Save As.
Years later and this is still not fixed.

I can do a work around with the save as option. But I cannot figure out a work around when I want to use the import tool and link to an excel file or when I want to use the export tool to export to an excel file. I don't have a way to tell Alteryx where to import or export from if the file browser window doesn't open. I've been using Alteryx for about 3 years and this is the first time I have experienced this issue.

Ah .. yah, I mostly use SQL sources so that's not an issue. You can hand-edit the path location in the settings for the import / export tool to work around this. You might also be able to drag and drop, not sure about that.

I'll try that and see if it works. I just noticed that the problem with the import tool seems to be related to excel. The file browser opens when I try to connect to other sources (csv, txt, accdb, etc).

CAiken, Thanks for the suggestion. That worked as a workaround. I was able to manually enter the locations for both import and export tools. Then I have to do another work around for Save As. This is just too many workarounds. I need another fix. Any other suggestions

I am having this same issue... and tried uninstalling and installing.. nothing happens
