European Geocoder with France overseas

Question

Hi all,

As you may know, France has some territories all over the world , called France Overseas.

- Like Martinique , Guadeloupe which are islands located in the Caribbean sea

- Like 'La Réunion', island located eastern Madagascar.

- Like 'Guyane', area northern Brazil.

and so on...

These islands are French, so addresses in this areas should be geocoded by the European Geocoder.

But that doesn't work , the tool tries to find a latitude and longitude in 'metropolitan France', and it gives weird results.

Is there a way to make this work ?

Or should we buy 'American Geocoder' & 'African Geocoder' & 'South American Geocoder' for these exceptions ?

I might suggest pursuing a global geocoder so you're not chasing installs by country/region borders. There's lots of geocoding APIs available from services like Google Maps, Mapbox, HERE, and many more.
