Error using Alteryx Designer in Wine (Ubuntu 18)

Question

Hi.  I am experiencing the following when trying to use Alteryx Designer in Ubuntu through Wine.

I have no problems with installation, but trying to open I get the attached screenshot Alteryx error 1.  If I click OK screenshot Alteryx error 2 very quickly pops up, but I can't click OK/cancel because screenshot Alteryx error 3 pops up and the whole application freezes.

Is there a solution to this, or is Alteryx Designer simply not compatible with Wine?

Hi Dan

Thank you for responding.  Shame it doesn't work on WINE (for me at least).  I'll try a VM and see if that works.

Hi @AlexBeesonWarwick

Sorry but it looks like Designer is not compatible with Linux.  The latest post that I can find states that Alteryx is just not supported on Linux.  They recommend WINE, which obviously doesn't work in your case, or a Windows vm.
