Error synchronizing DCM credentials to server:"Server failed to specify an internal error"

Hi community,

I'm trying to sync my DCM data sources & credentials to my company's server and keep getting this error: "Operation terminated. Server failed to specify an internal error." and the window is blank

I've tried: 1) Eliminating and re-adding the gallery , 2) Deleted the DCM files from C:\Users\<YourUser>\AppData\Local\Alteryx and re-added them ; but I still get the same error. Also checked and the Designer and Server versions are the same (2024.2.1.94 Patch: 3)

I'm thinking of trying a complete uninstall and reinstall of Designer, but decided to ask here to see if anyone has any other suggestions.

(This is only happening in one of the company's servers, I have no issues syncing to the other one)

Hi @mlaura98,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I found a KB article about this specific error:

Could it be really that simple as an out-of-sync clock? I remember having similar issues with my old HP Pentium 3 desktop PC when its clock went out of sync. I used to simply take my PC's CMOS battery out, clean it, and put it back in to reset the clock. Darn, I feel old. :)

Let me know if this article helps.

Take care.

Hi Dean, thanks so much for answering. The article helped, and after a server restart I managed to sync my DCM credentials, so all good!

You are welcome, @mlaura98

Can't believe my experience with all those CMOS batteries finally came in handy... 🙂
