Error (ToolId: -1)

There was an unknown error executing the application. The engine reported status Error (ToolId: -1)

Hi everyone, I need your help on this specific error that happens when I run a saved Alteryx application on the Alteryx Server. As far as I have researched, it is a silent failure of the Alteryx engine that cannot be tracked back to a specific tool ID, so I am kindly asking if there is anyone who met with a similar problem and managed to go through it.

Hello, I managed to solve it. It was an issue with managing workflow assets, as the outputs were not selected properly. Thank you all. 😊

What kind of workflow are you running specifically?

I am running a payroll workflow with inputs from Excel files and outputs as excel files, except for payslips, which is rendered PDFs.

Are you running it through Gallery or on the Designer on Server? Are others able to run it? Does it have permissions that are required?
