Ive literally in the past week, just made live a new process where all Alteryx designers should be using DCM. I had done all my testing and everything seemed fine until the users started to follow the process and use DCM. It seems that if you create a DCM connection, only you are able to Add/Remove users/groups from this connection - can somebody confirm if this is correct and is there another way to use DCM whereby more than one person is able to add/remove users from it?
I'm not sure this answers your question. If you're using server API v3, did you check DCME, DCMEAdmin, and DCMEConnect?
I dont think its anything to do with the server API, users create a DCM connection on their local install of Designer, then sync it with Dev and Prod. The issue is that only the user who created the connection is able to add or remove users or change the connection. See the screenshots, the first one is a DCM connection that I created and I can add/remove users and edit it
Next if I look at a DCM thats been created by somebody else but Ive been added to it, I cant then change anything on it - we have teams where 1 person is more skilled in Alteryx and will create the DCM connection and share it with the rest of the team. This is going to cause massive issues if one of those persons leaves as nobody can then take over the existing connections, even as an Admin I can t change the owner of the DCM
