Hi,
I am getting an error "you have found a bug. replicate, then let us know." on a dynamic input.
I read from a directory and trying to read in the latest file. This workflow has previously worked but now getting a bug.
Is it because a user is in this file?
the whole reason I created this is to read the file from the directory and copy it elsewhere..pretty much because a user never closes it and I need to access it for other proccesses.
Hey, @wonka1234.
There may be a way to fix that.
I tried recreating it, and I get a standard error if I have the file open (see screenshot).
You may try restarting Alteryx Designer or using a new Dynamic Input tool, or something else.
@acarter881 now getting error Target ecel file may be corrupt.. very weird.. it is an .XSLB btw....
sigh
@wonka1234 do you have the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable? It is located here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255
It is used to read .xlsb in Alteryx.
@wonka1234 No, I believe this is solely for xlsb files. See this post: https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Alteryx-Designer-Desktop-Knowledge-Base/How-to-Enable-Microsoft-Exc...
Hey @wonka1234
This particular error message is an indication that there's an underlying defect that you've found - my recommendation would be replicate this error in as minimal as possible a form (as few tools; and as simple as possible data) - and then send it over to support@alteryx.com.
They will give you a case number and then you can manage this to closure from there.
