Downloading a .tsv.gz file

I am attempting to download files with the format of .tsv.gz from an FTP using the download tool. The download tool is able to access the FTP as well as the file in question. However, when it downloads the file to my local drive, it is an empty file with no data. Is there a specific way I should be downloading .tsv.gz files? I am able to download both .tsv and .gz files, but it is not working for the .tsv.gz format.

@jgilligan , are you using the "To a File" option in the Download tool config?  see screenshot below.

Thank you for the response. I am using the To a File option, however I am using the Filename from Field option. Field1 is the pathway where I want the temporary file stored. That pathway includes a filename.tsv.gz at the end of it as well. When I go to import the file using a dynamic input, it throws and error and says there are no records in the file. When I go to the file, it says it is empty as well.

@jgilligan , as you stated, .tsv files are supported (this article also confirms this: https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Alteryx-Designer-Discussions/Reading-TSV-files/td-p/572278) but it looks like the issue is they are in a zip file (which we also support, see documentation: https://help.alteryx.com/20221/designer/gzip-file-support)

Given this case, I suggest that you submit a support ticket  to get further help on this issue as I am not sure why it is not working for you thru the download tool.

You can submit a case at the link below.
