Download the data from sharepoint to excel file using Alteryx

Question

Hi,

I have one sharepoint link which i open using Microsoft Edge and export the data into excel.

I want to automate this process through Alteryx desinger.

Is there any way to download the data from sharepoint link to Excel or yxdb? If yes, can you please provide the steps or workflow.

Please note i login on sharepoint page using my user name and password.

hi @alt_tush

Is what you're connecting to a SharePoint list or a file hosted in SharePoint.

If it's a list you can use the SharePoint list tools included in all versions of Alteryx.  See help for more details

If it's a file and you're using 2021.3.4 or later, you can use the SharePoint File tools.  These allow you to directly read and write to excel and csv files stored in SharePoint, without having to transfer them beforehand.
