Does Alteryx Gallery Save a Copy of Input Data Uploaded via File Browse Tool?

Does Gallery persist a copy of any data uploaded via a File Browse tool?  In MongoDB or elsewhere?  Or is the data only used in-memory?

@Garrett uploaded Data files are cached by the server, and kept in the MongoDB. They may also be present in cache/working folders on the servers local storage during application execution. The persistence settings in the Alteryx System Settings does allow you to define the period of time uploaded files are kept.
