Designer Desktop Manage Data connections missing in advanced options

I recently updated to the new version of Alteryx and notice that under advanced options I no longer have the option for "Manage data connections".

Is there any way to fix this?

Under File, there is a Manage Connections option. Is that what you are looking for?

Manage Connections and Manage Data Connections are two different things. I also have a user who no longer has Manage Data Connections after an upgrade. Any recommendations out there?

Have you added the gallery to the new install yet? Maybe it doesn't show up until you've added a gallery? What version have you upgraded to?

Version 2024.1, yes added gallery after install. Try doing a re-install of designer as well. Things we have tried are removing and readding gallery connection, removing gallery alias file and re-adding, updating user settings, accessing manage through an input tool and removing and re-adding gallery.

Update on the Manage Data Connections issue in Alteryx 2024.1…

Alteryx have now updated their guidance page for ‘Manage Data Connections’ and say:

This option is only visible when the DCM Mode is set to DCM Optional or DCM Default. These are the only modes that allow usage of the legacy connections in Designer. That means this navigation option is hidden with DCM Mode set to Only or Enforced.

To change the DCM Mode, go to Options > User Settings > Edit User Settings. Next, in the General tab, scroll to the Override DCM Settings section and select DCM Optional/Default.

If you are on the Designer 2024.2 version, please ensure to follow the below steps to see the "Manage Data Connections" menu appearing under the Options- - Advanced Options --Manage Data connections.

1. Go to User Settings in your Designer by navigating to Options --> User Settings --> Edit User Settings.

2. Scroll down a bit in the General tab from the left hand side menu and then you will find an option unchecked with Override DCM settings, Make sure you check or select that option with "DCM Optional" and SDK Access with "Allow All" then click on Save. Please refer to the below screenshot for clear reference.

3.  Post the above step is performed, please navigate now to Options Menu --> Advanced Options --> Now you can see "Manage Data Connections" visible in the Menu.

My problem is little different however kind of extension to this, I Successfully connected my server to my desktop and i can see the connections when i searched from File --> Manage connections however, when i tried to connect it to my Input tool its not displaying anything, I Tried Sync All but no luck, i even dont know if the sync all is working or not as i dont see any of my server connections under it, Any idea on how to fix it ? Any help here is appreciated 

FYI i am using 2023.2 version, not sure if that version makes any difference but just putting it over there
