Designer Crashes - Amazon Aurora and MySQL input tools

We have a MySQL ODBC connection and when I pull down the input tool and attempt to connect, it will spin for about 30 second then designer crashes.  

Designer Version: 2023.2.1.51

MySQL ODBC 9.2 ANSI Driver

I've tried to search for any support material to see what I can do to troubleshoot and haven't found anything.  Is there anything else we need to install to create a successful connection to the db?  Thank you!

turn on logging in your odbc 64 config -> look at your logs? switch to the unicode driver?

This https://help.alteryx.com/current/en/designer/data-sources/mysql.html#mysql - shows a lower version of the driver btw.

gotcha - i'll downgrade the driver and give it a try.
