Hello everyone
I'm requiring some inspiration for the following sample data set.
How might I be best placed visualising the following in Power BI desktop? I want to showcase the forecast actuals, the cost of delivery, and the net benefit (cost - forecast actuals), in a visualisation:
Initiative | Forecast Actuals | Total Costs | FY20/21 Net Benefit |
Initiative 1 | £83,000 | £47,000 | £36,000 |
Initiative 2 | £53,000 | £995,000 | -£465,000 |
Looking forward to discussing some ideas!
Thanks,
KA
To show everything consolidated, I suggest first pivoting everything to get the field type in one column and the value in another. From there, you can use the initiative as the X axis and the value as the Y axis. The name field can be used for the colors.
@echuong1 thank you!
Just a quick idea and I'm using neither Alteryx nor Power BI but I guess it can be easily replicated in Power BI:
Bullet chart is one of the best visualization if you would like to compare one figure to the other.
Best,
