Hi Everyone
I'm trying to extract data from S4HANA table in Alteryx. The number records the table has is 750K in S4 and same number of records are being fetched but with duplicate records.
This issue doesn't come if I maintain the data packet size greater than number of records in the table, as soon as I reduce the data packet size to 100K/200K/300K or any value less than total size of the table I see some records are lost and instead duplicate records are existing.
I tried the same scenario (same table) by connecting it to the SAP ECC system and it extracted all the records without any issue even with small packet size.
Did anyone come across such issue or advise if you know any solution to fix it.
Appreciate your valuable input.
Thanks
Mahad
Hi Mahad - Are you querying a table built in a report builder or are you querying a database table?
Hi
I'm trying to extract MARD table from S4. Same table from ECC has no issue.
Thanks

Hi -
How are you accessing? Are you connecting directly to HANA via ODBC?
Mark
Hi Mark
I think it is connected through ACS connector to both ECC and S4HANA.
Where can I check which connector is for which source system?

Not sure If I have posted in the right group as I'm new here. Is there no moderator here?
Hi -
Can you either post a screenshot of your workflow or the workflow itself? Is it a single workflow that connects to both S4 and ECC, or one workflow for each? Regardless, the "SAP Logon" tool should indicate which system(s) you are connecting to.
There are "helper" functions provided by DVW (ACS) that are installed on SAP; perhaps they've been installed on ECC and not on S4?

For ECC is it a report or a table? Can you post a screen grab of your Hana tool and your SAP Report/Table tool? for ECC are you calling a variant - and if so could that prevent some of the duplication?
Can you try connecting to HANA via ODBC vs ACS/DVW? I'm curious to see if you get different behavior. My hunch is you won't.
Also re: a moderator - if you mean an Alteryx help desk - that won't really help you much here. Your issue is with SAP and you are using a third party software package (DVW/ACS) to access the data. You can try DVW for help - they are usually quite responsive and awesome.
Hi -
Just agreeing with @apathetichell about DVW - I have nothing but good things to say about them. Whenever I submit a support question, somebody usually contacts me within a couple of hours. Additionally, I've had multiple conversations with their senior team, both technical and business.
