Hi All,

Hope you are keeping safe!

I am stuck in a situation, below is the scenario:

1) I am capturing the Linkedin URLs of some companies. Please find the attached file and refer sheet 1"Linkedin URLs"

2) I have created the master hierarchy with companies group name, group code, customer name, company code, Customer Group Match Key, ISO Alpha code. Please find the attached file and refer sheet 2 "HIERARCHY"

3) I am looking for the output where the URLs should be added to the Heirarchy sheet. This output should have all the names with and without URLs.

Your help would be much appreciated.

Regards

G

I would recommend using the join tool joining both the Linkedin url and HIerarchy based on customer group and customer name.

Then union all 3 outputs from the join.

@gmamtani let me know if that helps

Hello,
You can use a join tool to append the LinkedIn URLs and then a Union tool to combine the appended records with the ones that did not match in the join process.

I have used these steps however I am getting more records in the output. Why is this happening? Also there are records with no Group and customer codes. This is beyond my understanding. Is it possible to help me.

Hello,
In your join tool, make sure to select all fields you want to match on. In the example below, I used the customer name and customer group for the matching.

As for the records with no group and customer codes, if they are present in the input but not in the output, then you need to make sure you select them when configuring the join tool.
If possible, please share the workflow or screenshots of the tool configuration so we may help you further.
Thank you,
