Customer Managed Telemetry - Enterprise Setup

I am currently working with my IT department to rollout the customer managed telemetry.  We've been able to get it to work after a computer reboot.  My IT department is asking if there is a way around this.  Is there a service that could be restarted instead of a full computer restart?
