Consolidate Files in Directory with same fields but in different order

Hi Alteryx,

I have a batch macro that consolidate files in the directory into one.  However, the problem with those files is that some have 16 columns and some only has 10-12 columns.  The batch macro that i am currently using only consolidate files, so the column 1 might be in a different column in other file.

I am looking for a batch macro that will not only consolidate all workbooks into one but will look for those having similar field names and uniion correctly. Will it be possible?

Thanks.

Hi @PassION_es have a look at the Output mode in Interface Designer via View- Interface Designer - Properties as you can select Auto Configure by name therefore your column may be in a different order however if they name simular then they be unioned.

Just to be clear, you are taking data out of N number of files in a directory and trying to put all the data into 1 file. And it isn't unioning them correctly at the end of the run?

Oh, i forgot this one. Thank you.
