Connect to Sharepoint folder that is outside of Document Library

I need to connect to folder that is not in the Document Library on my sharepoint site. I have verified that I have access to the folder and documents in question. How can I configure the sharepoint input tool to connect to other folders than the Document Library? Thank you!

Can you sync the library to your OneDrive and just use a normal input tool to grab the files from the OneDrive folder?
