Connect to Aurora via Bastion SSH

JWeissman

Hello!

I'm trying to connect Alteryx to Aurora (Amazon MySQL) but we're using Amazon Bastion for additional security.  The generic ODBC connector doesn't allow you to enter additional credentials for tunneling through SSH.  Has anyone encountered this situation before?  Are there other ways to configure Alteryx to connect?

Thx!

Jesse

@JWeissman Designer doesn't have any functionality to establish or utilize SSH connections/tunnels. As such the SSH connection to Aurora would have have to be established by the ODBC driver. If the driver doesn't support establishing the connection via a SSH tunnel your only other option would be to setup a SSH tunnel manually in advance using third party software and direct all network traffic through that tunnel.

Just wondering whether this is still the case? I have the same request. Can't seem to add SSH route onto the ODBC driver. Which I then use in Alteryx.
