Computer freezes momentarily when i choose input in input tool

Question

Hello. When i put the file path (or database connection) in either input or output tool, alteryx freezes my computer for a short time while "loading" it. (not running workflow yet).

Is there any way to disable this? So that it wont try to load or update any information until i run the workflow?

This is necessary if your building a workflow so Alteryx can pull in data types and field names along with checking if there will be any errors if you run the flow.
