Closed Tool Containers are all open when saved workflows are opened back up

I save and close workflows with some of my tool containers closed and enabled.

I'm finding when I open these same workflows back up to work on them again, my closed tool containers are all open again.  It's very messy and a pain to go back and close them again before working in the file.  Been working in Alteryx for several years and this just started a day or two ago.  It's not all of them, but these are all my own files at my sharedrive that no one else would have access to.

is there some setting I've accidently bumped/changed that I can change back so this stops?  Thanks!

I save the file and then close it looking like this:

and when I open it back up next day it looks like this, the 2 middle containers have opened up:

and keep in mind, I've been using these workflows daily for several weeks and these are containers that I have not opened or updated in some time. so it's not that I forgot to close them before i saved the workflow, i never opened them in the first place.

Go to Options> User Settings>

Kindly check if 'Save Layout & Setting on Exit' is selected.

yes, it is selected.

Please close the containers and now save the workflow again. Make sure 'Save Layout & Setting Now' is NOT selected.

Open the workflow again and check if the containers are still open / closed. Incase still open, Go to Options> User Settings> Edit User Settings and check incase the settings match below::

I find no other settings to have impacted this.

Tried your process and the issue persists.  I don't see in your screenshot where in "User Settings > Canvas" would this issue be checked off to correct but mine matched yours and I still have the problem.  This is extremely frustration when I open large flows and have to go through and close 10, 20, 30 or more boxes to put the canvas in a workable format.  If you have any other suggestions or if anyone else is experiencing this issue I'd love to hear from you

Hello Vanessa2333 no solution yet, still hoping someone can ID issue and provide fix.  I have noticed it tends to happen when I'm working in a file and I save it with a new name, then I go back to the original file and the containers are all open.  Is anyone else seeing this in these or other specific circumstances?
