Can the Tableau WDC connect directly to Alteryx Designer?

Question

I'm hoping to be able to use my Designer with Tableau.  Can the WDC connect through Designer to Tableau Desktop or does it require Server licenses?

If not through Designer, what's the best way to get my data from Designer to Tableau.

Alteryx would have to write the data somewhere for Tableau to access it, but you have a few choices - I don't think that WDC is one of them but I would suggest writing to a database or directly to a TDE are the best ways to start with :)
