Calculation of Standard deviation

Attached is the result i am getting in a formula tool. and I want to calculate std deviation of forecast error. but when I use summarize tool it shows 0 as std deviation for all the products.

I want it to be grouped by the product.

Hi @Dhananjay123 

 

There is only one value for each product, so creating a standard deviation of a single value is impossible. Comparing one value or million times a single value will always give you a standard deviation of 0.

Does the dataset you are working with contain more than 1 value for each product?

 

Maybe you are thinking about it wrong inside of Alteryx. Are you trying to calculate the standard deviation for all the products and assign that value for each product? I attached an example of this as well.
