COUNTIF less than a number

Hi All,

 

I have a dataset and I'd like to make a column which would have the equivalent excel formula =COUNTIF(A2:f2, "<30")

 

I've fiddled for a while and can't figure it out. Does anyone have any ideas? 

 

I have attached the spreadsheet if that helps.
