Hi
I tried to change the background colour of one of the headers using the "table function".
However, the colour applied to the data instead of the header.
Is there anything wrong with my settings?
Thanks
Vanessa
Hi @Vanessa_JWS
I am not sure about why the way that you are trying is not working, but try like this, this way will work:
@Felipe_Ribeir0 - Thanks. But if I were to use your method below, the colour would apply to all headers. I only one the colour to apply to one of the (many) headers in the report.
Hey @Vanessa_JWS
I noticed you are trying to use column styling rules - do you have any row styling rules that might conflict with your formatting?
If so, go to your row rules and make sure the below box is checked/unchecked accordingly:
Otherwise, the way you wrote your rule should be working fine. Attaching an example for your reference.
@Vanessa_JWS undestood. It is strange that it is not working for you, here it is working fine:
Maybe it is a good idea to just place a new basic table tool on the canvas and start configuring it all again.
@gautiergodard - Can I ask how do you go to the "row styling rules"?
@gautiergodard - OK I think I got it. Have not tried the "row Styling rules" before. Will try and see whether this works. Thanks!
@gautiergodard - I tried using the workflow you sent and below are the settings and results which I've got:
@Vanessa_JWS Sorry, I am not sure I understand what you are trying to do.
The last 2 screenshots you included should be changing the color of only the headers in your table.
The first screenshot you included doesn't seem to have any rules applied to it, so i don't believe it is doing anything.
Can you please share the workflow you used so we can understand why the coloring is being applied to rows instead of headers?
Re-attaching the workflow where 2 column rules have been created to only change the color of headers.
@gautiergodard - I did not do anything to the workflow you provided and merely click "run" the workflow. Here's the result:
Perhaps there's sth wrong with my alteryx?
