Hello! I am trying to add two extra spaces at the end of a column header (for ex: "Name  "). When I try to accomplish this, it won't let me. I am generating the report using Table tool. I see that one extra space is added in all field names in the output but additional spacing doesn't seem to get translated into the output.

Has anyone experienced similar issues? Any ways to add extra spacing in the column header when using report tool?

Thank you!!!!

Hi @kkkim,

This community article can assist in adding the spaces - https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Alteryx-Designer-Discussions/Keep-Leading-Whitespace-in-Table-Tool-...

In the table tool, you can rename your column names. Instead of entering spaces after "Name" hold down the alt key and type 255 (use the numeric keypad and not the keyboard) then release the alt key and you'll have one space. Do this again and you'll have two spaces that will appear in the resulting table.

Note that you can also use the technique above in a dynamic rename tool before the table tool to have it affect multiple columns at a time and not have to rename them individually in the table tool.

Let me know if this helps!

@kkkim You can always try adding non-breaking spaces instead of regular ones.
