Analytic Apps for a Nonuser

Hello,

Can a nonuser run an analytic apps absent a license for alteryx designer? Or can a nonuser open an analytic apps even without a designer being installed?

The running of Analytic App would require a license of Alteryx Desinger.

I believe there is no bypass so far. 🤔

In addition to what @Qiu said, to run the analytic app without a designer licence would require the app to be published and run through the Gallery, which would, of course, require the Alteryx Server.

Hi @Gamaliel 

For the Analytic app to run on desktop Alteryx designer needs to be installed.

But as @mceleavey mentioned the Analytic app can be published on Alteryx Gallery (Alteryx Server) and other users can run it from there. Provided either the app is made globally available or if you want only specific people to access it you can add the app to a collection and provide them access.

If you don't have Alteryx designer or Alteryx server setup then sadly other users wont be able to open and run the app.

I believe an analytic app can be run without even having Alteryx on your machine installed (or having a license).

@amadra  - the words "User does not necessarily need Designer installed" are true. but that it is not different from other people have said here. It is just selective messaging. It would be more clear if this was rewritten to read "User does not need Designer installed when the App is run off of Server,"
