Currently have the 2022.1 version and need 2023.2, which I've been trying to install through software center (I'm running win 11)
But after like an hour of just installing, it says "failed" and throws this error code : 0x87D00213(-2016411117).
There's no issue with my internet connection and there are no other processes running in the background. Couldn't find any fixes online.
Software Center is controlled by your company IT configuration manager. If Alteryx is listed on there, then your company has packaged it for install. That package could be the base installation, could include the Predictive tools, or if you have a pro-active org, may even include settings and common macros.
That code is a timeout I think, and so the installer may be hanging on something for longer (possibly the python install, or a dialogue box that hasn't been handled), than the timeout is set for (which sounds like it may be 60 mins).
This all points back to talking to your IT though.
I just tried installing it for the fourth time and then re-started the system and it installed and is working properly.
Not sure why it didn't work the first three times, might've be a system specific issue, in which case brute-force repeating the installation process seems to have done the trick.
I suppose trial and error doesn't count as a precise solution, but the error code seems to refer to some timeout (as @KGT pointed out) , so maybe checking control panel and making sure sys resources aren't being clogged up by any other process could also be the way to go in the future to make sure the installation is smooth maybe?
Have you uninstalled the current version on Alteryx from your computer?
Before installing the new version you will first need to uninstall the program from your computer.
