Alteryx reading file header names differently

I am not sure why, but every time I try to read an Excel file into alteryx the columns are different each time -

The pattern is like - If the column name is 'Total. Amount' it is sometimes read in Alteryx as 'Total# Amount' or sometimes as 'Total. Amount'

This is happening to me when I use the tools for configure the name, size or data type of the column. But in the output the column name is correct.

And when there are 2 columns ex - 'Comments' and 'Comments'

Alteryx reads it as 'Comments ' and 'Comments' instead of reading it as 'Comments' and 'Comments2'.

Has anyone else faced this?

What version of Designer are you running - assuming the answer is 2023.X - note it as a bug.
