Alteryx on New Machine

Question

I had Alteryx on my previous laptop. However, the laptop died. Now, I have a new laptop and am trying to use Alteryx. However, the issue is that my license only works for one machine. Therefore, I need to deactivate the license for the previous machine, which I do not have access to.    Please advise me on this issue.

Hi @IsaacMcDermott ,

You should ask your license administrator of your organization to deactivate your license key associated with the previous machine.
He/she should be able to deactivate your license key (revoke your seat) on the license portal site http://licenses.alteryx.com/ .
Once it is deactivated, you should be able to activate your new machine with your license key.

There is a chance that you have control over your own license. Login to the licensing portal https://us1.alteryxcloud.com/license-portal/ and in the top left of the screen choose "Licenses" (next to "Home"). At the end of the row with your license number there are 3 vertical dots where you can choose "View Seats." If you got this far then you should see your old machine there and a button to "Revoke" the license. Once that is complete you can use the license with your new laptop.
