Alteryx designer version conflict

Hi All,

I recently updated Alteryx dev server to 2020.2.3. Our prod is still on 2018

I want developer to test this new version however on their system they have 2018 Alteryx designer when I try to install 2020 designer it was trying to uninstall 2018 version.

Is there a way I can keep both 2018 and 2020 designer version in same system?

if not please let me know any other ideas.

Hi @Sandy8704 

The only way to have two versions simultaneously is to have one version be the Alteryx Designer Admin version and one be the Alteryx Designer non-admin version.

How can I check if current designer version is admin or non admin?

This article goes over Admin vs Non-Admin and the differences. If you open up your control panel installed software you should see USER at the end of Alteryx Designer if it is the non-admin version and it would not say USER at the end if it was admin.
