Alteryx Sharepoint Connector Reading xlsm Workbooks

Does anyone have a workaround for getting the Alteryx Sharepoint Connector to be able to read a xlsm file?

Thanks for asking and posting your doubts here, we are happy to help.

The Alteryx SharePoint Connector often doesn't directly support .xlsm (macro-enabled Excel) files.

Workaround Steps:

Recommend you to download the .xlsm file from SharePoint locally using the SharePoint connector.

Then, use the standard Input Data tool in Alteryx to read the local .xlsm file directly (Alteryx Input tool fully supports .xlsm).

Alternative option:

Change or copy your .xlsm file into a standard .xlsx format on SharePoint,then use the SharePoint connector normally.

The easiest and most common practice is to first download the file, then read locally.
