Alteryx Reporting Tools - Excel Render Not using Formatting

Hello, 

I am ABSOLUTELY losing my mind; to give a test example of what I'm trying to do for a localized report I built a VERY basic example; 

I have a Text Input with 13 columns; each labeled 1-13

I have also tested changing the format of the values, but for the example they are strings. 

Next, I build a table - All 13 columns are set up identically, width fixed at 1. All other settings are at their default, the table width fixed at 13.

Then, I'd like to dump this into Excel for use, so I set the output to a specific file and set the report style to custom at 13 x 1000 (the important number here being 13)

However, when I open the document; Columns 10 - 13 are larger!!! and the column widths aren't even 1 inch!!??

Am I missing something?? Does the Render tool entirely erase the formatting I've done in the table/layout tools?
