Alteryx Designer OS vs Alteryx Desktop Automation license

Dear Expert,

Can we have installed below setting :

1. Alteryx Designer with OS license installed in windows server 2012 or above - as development purpose of workflow

2. Install Alteryx Designer in one of the VM desktop machine EC2 instance of AWS with windows 10 as operating system and only configure desktop automation license- this machine will work only as scheduler-no purchase on Alteryx Designer OS license

Is it possible to installed Alteryx designer and only activate Automation license without any additional purchase for Alteryx Designer Desktop license.

Also if we are working on In database tools are the related driver and configuration need to be present in both the system where Alteryx

There are no workarounds as this would defeat the purpose of an Alteryx Server license. I understand that the price point is a deterrent for you but the Alteryx Server is an enterprise grade analytics platform meant to be deployed properly with version control/collaboration/scheduling/analytic apps/etc functionality. I would encourage you to speak with your Alteryx account representative about Server options as it relates to your needs.

@BrandonB schedule a single workflow in server looks like pricing stand point it is huge is there any other way? can Alteryx be installed on one of the AWS instance with windows 10 operating system and allow it to be scheduled?

Scheduler cannot be deployed on a server OS. You will need to purchase an Alteryx Server license.
